Security checks at boarding
Prepare your Transport Title (ticket) and your Identity Document for the security check and the commercial check, which can start up to 2 hours before the departure of the ship.
The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code requires all port facilities to carry out security checks on all passengers (pedestrian or vehicular) presenting themselves for embarkation.
The Security Agents will systematically carry out an access control (verification of the Transport Title) as well as a visual inspection (of the passenger, his/her baggage and/or the vehicle). The passenger may then be subjected to a screening inspection, which consists of a more thorough check of baggage and/or the vehicle, in accordance with all current regulations.
Passengers should have their Tickets and identity documents ready to facilitate security checks and should keep all these documents with them if they wish to leave the port security area temporarily.
The VIGIPIRATE Plan is currently active in the port of Bonifacio.
