Vehicle boarding
As Bonifacio’s commercial port is accessible via the Upper Town, your arrival may be delayed due to roadworks, various events or high visitor numbers during the summer months. To ensure a stress-free arrival, we recommend allowing extra time for your journey.
Practical arrangements for boarding
- Pre-departure check of your ticket by an official from the Corsican EPCI to gain access to the port:
- 1½ hours before departure (November to April)
- 1 hour before departure (May to October)
- Maritime Company Control Zone Management:
- Follow the port signage to the Compagnie Maritime’s control area
- Do not proceed to the ship without having completed the necessary formalities with the shipping company
- A representative from the shipping company will check your ticket and ID directly at your vehicle 1 hour 30 minutes before departure (November to April) – 1 hour before departure (May to October)
- Parking your vehicle in the pre-boarding area
- Boarding the ship
Vehicle unloading
Vehicles are unloaded from the ship via a specific route indicated by the Port Operations Officers of the EPCI de Corse as they leave the ship.
No vehicle is permitted to stop on the unloading bays.
Meeting points must be located outside the port area.
People with reduced mobility
Please inform staff of your disability as soon as you arrive at the pre-security check; EPCIC staff stationed at the port entrances will notify the shipping company so that it can arrange appropriate assistance.
To make boarding easier (access to the lift, etc.), please report to the ground handling manager well before boarding begins
